Marjorie Evelyn Schuller, 88, died Dec. 4, 2006, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born Nov. 15, 1918, in Storm Lake, Iowa, the daughter of Philip and Grace Armstrong Frederick. In 1936, she graduated from Rembrandt High School and attended Buena Vista College. In 1959, she graduated from Sterling College and had post-graduate work at Emporia State and Wichita State University. A resident of Hutchinson since 1952, moving from Corpus Christi, Texas, she was an elementary teacher having taught at Sulphur Springs and Laurens, Iowa, Vallejo, Calif., and Hutchinson's Graber and Avenue A elementary schools, retiring in 1984.
She belonged to Trinity United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, Hutchinson. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma; Hutchinson area, Kansas and National Retired Teachers Association and Ladies Auxiliary of Fleet Reserve Association.
On June 10, 1943, she married Edward F. Schuller in Pensacola, Fla. He died Sept. 10, 1973.
Survivors include: two sons, Edward F. Jr., Grand Junction, Colo., and Richard J. "Rick," Nickerson; a sister, Majel Frederick, Sioux City, Iowa; two grandsons, Philip J. and Mark A. Schuller; and seven great-grandchildren, Brett, Christian, Tiffany, Amanda, Mackenzie, Cole and Kierstyn Schuller.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Pat Ault-Duell presiding. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
