Obituary

Marjorie Lois Stiggins, 77, died Nov. 14, 2007, at Deseret Care Center, Hutchinson.

She was born June 18, 1930, the daughter of Lemuel Russell and Ruth Theresa Bates Hendrickson. In 1948, she graduated from Buhler High School. She was also a graduate of Grace School of Nursing, a resident of Hutchinson since 1941, and worked as a registered nurse at Grace and St. Elizabeth Hospitals.

She belonged to First Church of the Nazarene.

On June 7, 1958, she married Thomas J. "Jim" Stiggins at Hutchinson. He survives.

Other survivors include: a daughter, Myra Hutchinson and husband Boyd, Nortonville; two brothers, James R. Hendrickson and Donald J. Hendrickson, both of Hutchinson; three sisters, Rozan Wilson, Hutchinson, Beverly Mauer, Lawson, Mo., and Twila Elmore, Enid. Okla.; and two grandchildren, Tommy and Holly Hutchinson.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy "Lee" Hendrickson.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Church of the Nazarene, Hutchinson, with the Rev. R. Kendall Franklin and Bones Nay presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.

Memorials may be sent in lieu of flowers to Hospice Care of Kansas or First Church of the Nazarene.
