Marjorie Jean Woleslagel, 85, died Nov. 14, 2008, at her home, Hutchinson.
She was born June 13, 1923, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Earl Frank-lin and Katherine Elizabeth Williston Baker. She worked for Cessna for a time, and by studying on her own, advanced to the position of executive secretary. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1941 and attended Hutchinson Community College.
She belonged to the First Church of Christ Scientists, where she was a second reader and a clerk. She also belonged to UANDI and the Bridge Club.
On Oct. 1, 1948, she married Ernest E. "Babe" Woleslagel in Hutchinson. He died May 22, 1984. Survivors include, a son, Mark D. and wife Leann E., Hutchinson; a daughter, Lynn Woleslagel Reiff and husband Glenn A. Reiff II, Steamboat Springs, Colo.; a brother, Earl F. Baker, Hutchinson; three grandchildren, Heather A., Karl C. and Von M. Woleslagel, all of Hutchinson; a nephew, William L. Baker, Hutchinson; and previous caregivers, Delores, Sasha and JoAnn; and current caregivers, Trudy Smith, Mila Edgar and Mary Hummel, all of Hutchinson.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Reader Daniel A. Dyck presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the family present to receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Private family graveside service will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
