Marjorie Zimmerman, 80, died July 14, 2014, at the Prairie Sunset Home in Pretty Prairie. She was born June 29, 1934, in Hutchinson, to Clifton and Alpha(Pennington) Shackelford. She worked as a secretary at Westar Energy, retiring after 30 years.

On April 13, 1958, she married Carl M. Zimmerman in Hutchinson. He died Feb. 23, 1998. Survivors include: sons, Charles Zimmerman and wife Kathy, Norwalk, Calif., and Michael Zimmerman, Hutchinson; grandchildren, April Hoch and fiancé Ken Wallace, Joshua Zimmerman and wife Margarita, all of Hutchinson, Justin Zimmerman, Norwalk, Calif.; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and six brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2014, at Elliott Chapel with the Rev. Jim Rhaesa presiding. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park.
