Mark Allen Lattimer , 66, died September 3, 2022, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born September 11, 1955, in Sterling, to Max C. Lattimer Sr. and Betty Jo (Miller) Lattimer .

Mark graduated from Lyons High School in 1973. He was the shipping and receiving manager at KMW Ltd. in Sterling for many years. Mark had worked in the parts departments at Young Motor Co. in Lyons and Conklin Cars in Hutchinson.

Mark dedicated many years of his life as a volunteer firefighter with the Rice County Fire Department. Mark was an avid gardener who loved making salsa and watching NASCAR as a Dale Earnhardt Sr. fan. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Lyons.

On December 9, 2005, Mark married Connie Jo (Pruner) Phillips. She survives.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Max Lattimer Sr.; a son, Richard Lattimer; and a brother, Max Lattimer Jr.

Surviving are: his sons, Jason & Nicole Lattimer of Chase, Jeremy & Jennifer Lattimer of Peculiar, MO; mother, Betty Lattimer of Hutchinson; sister, Jim & Janet Sutton of Rising Star, TX: numerous grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; stepsons, Tracy & Kim Phillips of Hutchinson, Todd & Amy Phillips of Wichita; and many extended family members.

A celebration of Mark's life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2022, at the family residence, 5612 N. Eisenhower Dr. Hutchinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mark Lattimer Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
