Obituary

SYLVIA - Mark Logan, 54, went to be with his Lord April 13, 2007, as a result of an automobile accident.

He was born Dec. 24, 1952, in Okmulgee, Okla., the son of Garland M. and Lola Faye Morgan Logan. He graduated in 1971 from Buhler High School and then graduated from Salina VoTech College. A resident of Sylvia for 30 years, he worked at Eaton Corp. for over 30 years in maintenance.

He belonged to Pleasant Hill Nazarene Church, Sylvia, was an honorary member of the Patriot Guard, and Chaplain with the Christian Motorcyclist Association, and Faithful Followers.

On April 21, 1990, he married Margaret Penny in Sylvia. She survives.

Other survivors include: three sons, Jeremy Nienke and wife, Megan Neidt, Geneseo, Ill., Jeff Nienke, Hutchinson, and Josh Nienke and wife, Jennifer, Lawton, Okla.; a brother, Steve and wife, Angie, Nickerson; two brothers-in-law, Richard Penny and wife, Lynda, Hutchinson, and Maurice Penny and wife, Shelly, Hutchinson; a sister-in-law, Becky Spellman and husband, Johnnie, Mount Hope; five grandchildren, Kayla, Sierra, Felicity, Logan and Gavin; and nieces, nephews and beloved friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 4290 North Monroe, Hutchinson, with the Revs. Tom Boese and Steve Walters presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Sylvia Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to the Christian Motorcyclist Association or the Run for the Son, both in care of the funeral home.
