Mark R. Poulain, 90, died Jan. 10, 2013, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born Oct. 26, 1922, in Washington Township, Crawford County, Kan., to Mark G. and Augusta Marie Claire (Michiels) Poulain.
He was a member of Legacy Bible Church and Minneola Masonic Lodge #431 A.F. & A.M. Mark retired as an engineer from Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America.
On March 22, 1952, he married Phyllis Harris in Stinnett, Texas. She survives. Other survivors include: four sons, Rory Poulain and wife Trish of Hutchinson, Gary Poulain and wife Mary of Edmond, Okla., Bruce Poulain of Eagle, Neb., Dana Poulain and wife Mary of De Soto, Kan.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mark was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Minneola United Methodist Church, 231 S. Main, Minneola, Kan., with Reverend Claude Fillingim officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday with the family to receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Private burial will be in Minneola Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Legacy Bible Church Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
