Mark Allen Schwarzentraub, 69, died September 17, 2023, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice-Ascension Via Christi St, Francis, Wichita, KS.  He was born September 5, 1954, in Peoria, IL, to Paul and Rosemary (Rapp) Schwarzentraub.

Mark received a Bachelors Degree and a Masters of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Missouri.  He was employed as an economist at the Kansas State Farm Management, Hutchinson, KS, retiring with 30 years of service.

During his days at the University of Missouri, Mark invited Jesus into his heart and served Him faithfully through many health challenges.

On December 29, 1984, Mark married Nancy Kae Rupp, at the West Zion Mennonite Church, Moundridge, KS.  They shared over 38 years of marriage.

Mark is survived by:  his wife, Nancy Schwarzentraub of Hutchinson, KS; parents, Paul and Rosemary Schwarzentraub of Knoxville, TN; siblings, Paula (Brad) Nelson of Knoxville, TN, Ellen (William) DeFer of Smyrna, GA, and Eric (Jodie) Schwarzentraub of Knoxville, TN; sister-in-law, Beth (Terry) Schey of Leipsic, OH; brother-in-law, Jim (Chris) Rupp of Dallas, OR; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2023, at Union Valley Bible Church, 1916 E. 30th Street, Hutchinson, KS.  Private graveside service will be at West Zion Cemetery, Moundridge, KS.  Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 21, 2023, with the family present from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.  The service can be viewed online by going to the Union Valley Bible Church website (https://www.unionvalleybiblechurch.com/) on the day of the service.
