Marlene Ann Avery, 86, of Hutchinson, died December 6, 2019, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born December 12, 1932, in Danville, IL, the daughter of James G. and Wilma M. (Murry) Moore.

Marlene was a 1951 graduate of Covington High School, Covington, IN. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

On April 1, 1961, Marlene married Wilmer Lee 'Bill' Avery in Covington, IN. They shared 58 years of marriage. He survives.

Also surviving are: son, Kevin Avery (Patricia), Oakdale, CT; four step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a stepbrother.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 26, 2019, at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson. Friends may sign her memorial book from 1-5 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
