Marna A. Kornelson's Obituary
Marna A. Kornelson, 81, died Feb. 6, 2013, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born Feb. 26, 1931, in Stafford to Virgil and Gladys Ward.
Marna worked as a manager for the Kansas State Fair dairy barn and L&D laundry.
On April 23, 1948, she married Waymen Kornelson. He died April 20, 2002.
She is survived by: children, Toby Mendoza of South Hutchinson, Toni Parker of Hutchinson, Thomas W. "Tom" Kornelson of Hutchinson; 11 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; a great great-grandchild; brother, Bill Ward of Hutchinson. Marna was preceded in death by: parents; sister, Eileen Boarders; and brother, Gary Ward.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Fairlawn Burial Park, with Chaplain Bob Phipps officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
