Marsha Lee Matheny, died December 6, 2013, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born November 25, 1943, in Chicago, the daughter of Herbert Marshall and Eva Lois (Meyer) Himes. Marsha graduated from West High School in 1961, Davenport, Iowa, received her bachelors from NE Missouri State in 1968, and her masters from ULM, University of Louisiana, Monroe, in 1992. She moved to Hutchinson in 1993, after taking a counseling position for USD 308, working at Lincoln and Ave A Elementary Schools. Marsha was a member of the Baha'i Faith of Hutchinson.

On January 21, 1995, she married Scott Gordon Matheny in Hutchinson. He died October 17, 2013. Survivors include: daughter, Jessica Fowler and husband Shawn of Hutchinson; son, Matthew Johnson of Chicago; stepdaughters, Andrea Foroughi and husband Joe of Alplaus, New York, and Samantha Kleven and husband Bryce of Naperville, Illinois; brother, Dan Himes and wife Fay of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Louisa Foroughi, Juliet Foroughi, Paul Kleven, Tristan Cornell, Caitlin Brown, Alexsis Brown, Elizabeth Teter, and Avery Kleven.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A private family graveside service will be in Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson. Memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday January 18, 2014, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Hutchinson.
