Martha Ann "Marty" Killgore, 85, died Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Via Christ on St. Joseph in Wichita. She was born February 12, 1931, in Lawrence, to Edmund and Vivian (Young) Wehmeyer.

Marty graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1949 and then went to nurse's training. She worked as a nurse and then for Southwestern Bell before retiring from Dillon's, where she worked as a cashier for 10 years.

Marty married James J. Welch on September 4, 1951, in Hutchinson. He died September 3, 1998. She married Mancil E. Killgore in 1983, in Kingman. He died in 1991. Survivors include: daughter, Charyl Bale (Roger) of Hutchinson; sons, James Welch of Hutchinson, Scott Welch (Julie) of South Hutchinson, Brett Welch of Mount Hope; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Henry Wehmeyer (Wilma) of Bella Vista, Arkansas. Marty was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Florence Robinson; and a brother Charles Wehmeyer.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Ron Kyker officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.
