Martha E. Decker's Obituary
Martha E. Decker, 99, of Hutchinson, died Sunday, July 5, 2009, at Promise Regional Medical Center.
She was born November 11, 1909, in St. Joseph, Mich., the daughter of Albert and Minnie Tushling Marutz. She attended schools in St. Joseph. She was a homemaker.
On May 12, 1934, she married Cecil V. Decker in St. Joseph, Mich. He died June 5, 1998.
Survivors include: a son, Bruce and wife Therese, Oak Forest, Ill.; a daughter, Pamela Brooks and husband Ray, Hutchinson; a sister, Norma Larko, Savannah, Ga.; three grandchildren, Christian Tonn and his wife Deanene, and Greg Tonn and his wife Michelle, all of Wichita, and Amy Gimble and husband Gene, Essex, Ill.; three great-grandchildren, Manny, Loren and Braydon Tonn. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with Pastor John J. Carney presiding. Mrs. Decker will lie in state from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Fairlawn Burial Park.
