Martha Marie Gaskill, 87 died Sunday, March 20, 2011, at Mercy Hospital, Moundridge.
She was born March 4, 1924, in Aberdeen, S.D., the daughter of Harve and Henrietta Hauder.
Martha attended school in Frazee, Minn., but graduation was halted due to World War II. She moved to the Hutchinson area in 1947 and was a member of the First Christian Church. She was a homemaker, mother and wife.
On May 14, 1955, she married Floyd Gaskill in Hutchinson. He died Jan. 8, 1992.
She is survived by her children: Terry (Sheri), Broken Arrow, Okla., Marvin (Marty), Hutchinson, Kan.; and a granddaughter, Laura Schiewe (Jade) Broken Arrow, Okla. Martha was recently reunited with her daughter, Deta Robb and husband Ken and three grandchildren, Jenna, Tessa and Michael, along with six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters Juanita, Donna and Gladys, three brothers Harvey Jr., Charles, and James and a daughter, Linda Marie.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Elliott Mortuary with burial to follow at Fairlawn Burial Park. Visitation will be today 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with family receiving friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
