Martha L. Mitchell's Obituary
INMAN - Martha Lynne Mitchell, 73, died Nov. 2, 2008, at Pleasantview Home, Inman.
She was born Jan. 23, 1935, in Lawrenceville, Ill., the daughter of Glenn and Thelma Shaw Foss.
She graduated in 1952, from St. John High School, St. John, and then attended Hutchinson Community College.
A longtime resident of Macksville, KS, moving to Inman in 2002, she was a waitress and school cook.
She belonged to Macksville Christian Church, and was a volunteer at the Macksville VIP Senior Center.
On July 21, 1955, she married Martin K. Mitchell in Macksville, Ks. He died May 31, 1987. Survivors include: a son, Dave J. Mitchell, Oklahoma City; a granddaughter, Jessica; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Phyllis Ann Foss, and Mary Lucille Mitchell.
Graveside service will be at 9 a.m. Friday Nov. 7, 2008, in Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John, with Pastor Dena Allison presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to the Macksville VIP Senior Center, or the Macksville Christian Church.
