Martha H. Mullen, 87, of South Hutchinson, died Aug. 28, 2016, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born Dec. 18, 1928, in Hutchinson, to Chester and Georgina (Norris) Routledge.

Martha graduated from high school in 1947 and attended Bethany College in Lindsborg.

She married James H. Mullen in December, 1948. He died in December, 1964.

Martha was a homemaker and also worked as a custodian at Union Valley Elementary School. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church.

Martha is survived by: sons, James and wife Karen of Mesa, Ariz., Jack and companion Laura Ediger of Hutchinson, Robert and wife Shirley of Hutchinson; daughter, Laura Kepka and husband Steve of Apopka, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Elizabeth Dimitt-Thomas.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, at McPherson City Cemetery, with the Rev. Georgia Decker officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
