Obituary

Martha Lucille Patterson, 85, died Oct. 3, 2005, at Hutchinson Hospital.

She was born Jan. 28, 1920, in Decatur, Ark., the daughter of Clayton H. and Levina E. Bowen Tucker. She graduated from Dodge City High School in 1938. A Hutchinson resident since 2001, moving from Wichita, she was an operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone, Wichita, retiring in 1988.

She belonged to Christian Church and Southwestern Bell Pioneers Club, both in Wichita.

Survivors include: a son, Marvin Patterson, Wichita; two daughters, Fern Lee Potter, Tok, Alaska, and Ilene Brunnette, Arden Hills, Minn.; two brothers, Norman R. Tucker, Glendale, Ariz., and George C. Tucker, Kansas City, Kan.; two sisters, Louise E. Deaver and Mary J. Haltom, both of Hutchinson; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Wesley Towers Chapel, Hutchinson. Graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, with Rev. Mark Conard and Robert B. Brooks presiding. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., all at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.
