Martha Louise Roth, 83, of South Hutchinson, went home to be with her Lord, Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Pleasant View Home, Inman. She was born December 31, 1933, in rural Zenith, the daughter of Arthur 'Doc' and Mada (Minks) Volker.
She was a 1952 graduate of Stafford High School and 1954 graduate of Hutchinson Junior College. After college, Louise taught two years at Plevna Grade School and then was a farm wife and homemaker. Louise was a member of Lighthouse Bible Church, and for over 40 years, was a member of Gideons International Auxilary.
On June 3, 1955, she married Charles Wesley Roth in Zenith. He survives. She is also survived by: sons and spouses, Norman and Cindy of Sterling, Gordon and Cindy of Nickerson; daughter, Luann Roth of the home; brother, Elvyn Volker of O'Fallon, MO; grandchildren, Cami Roth and Colton Roth both of Sterling and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Veryl and Glenn Volker.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., followed by a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. at Elliott Chapel with Pastors Stephen Cummins and Doug Neumann presiding. Her casket will remain closed. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson.
