Martin 'Marty' Neal Imel, 65, died January 27, 2024, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born December 10, 1958, in Hutchinson, to Harold Lee and Phyllis Joan (Helsel) Imel.

Marty served his country as a U.S. Marine from February 1976 to February 1979. He was self-employed as an arborist, owning Imel Tree Service in Hutchinson.

Martin enjoyed being outdoors doing carpentry and many other projects around his home, in which he took a lot of pride in, he enjoyed riding his Harley, and gambling at casinos. Most importantly, Marty loved the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.

Martin is survived by: his children, Brandon (Lindsay) Imel, Bryce Imel, Breanna (Brady Fernandez) Imel; sisters, Terri Hitchcock, Rochelle Welch; 7 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: parents and brother-in-law, Bret Welch.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2024 at Elliott Chapel. Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard. Friends may sign his memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
