Marvin Paul Hoskinson, 93, died Dec. 26, 2006, at Mennonite Manor, South Hutchinson.
He was born Sept. 25, 1913, in Watonga, Okla., the son of Howard C. and Daisy E. King Hoskinson. He graduated from Hutchinson High School, where he had been a Kansas State Wrestling Champion. A longtime Hutchinson and Burrton resident, he was retired from Cessna Fluid Power Division and had also farmed.
He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, serving in World War II.
On March 9, 1936, he married Armetha Nance in Hutchinson. She died May 27, 1998.
Survivors include: three sons, David, Hutchinson, Bruce, South Hutchinson, and Randy, Madera, Calif.; six daughters, Janice Magby, Rosalind Hoskinson, Joan Gray, Cheryl Nelson, Stella Pina, and Rochele Hoskinson, all of Hutchinson; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Marvin Jr.; a daughter, Lynn; two brothers, Harold and Marshall; and two sisters, Birdie Jones and Donna Kunkel.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Burrton City Cemetery, Burrton, with Chaplain Art Maddock presiding, with military graveside rites conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
