Marvin Dean Voeltz, 67, died November 10, 2012, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born July 18, 1945, in Ellsworth, to Hubert and Roberta Webb Voeltz. Marvin served in the United States Army and worked as a service technician at Combustion Control Company.
On July 28, 1967, he married Judy Roberts, in Hutchinson. Marvin is survived by: his wife of 45 years, Judy Voeltz; children, Jonathan Voeltz and wife Amy, April Voeltz Watkins, and Mitch Voeltz and wife Katie; six grandchildren, Tatumn Watkins, Cooper Dube, Ellie Dube, Parker Voeltz, Trent Voeltz, and Grayson Voeltz; mother-in-law, Tressie Roberts; brothers, Waldo Voeltz, Karl Voeltz and wife Phyllis; and sisters, Diana Halley and husband Hank, Karen Johnson and husband Jim.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Katherine Bliss.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2012, in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with the Reverend Dr. Kim Biery officiating. Military graveside honors will be conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, in care of the mortuary.
