Obituary

Marvin G. Wilt, 78, went to meet his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 30, 2015. He was born Oct. 29, 1936, to George and Helen (Lachman) Wilt in Hutchinson.

On March 28, 1997, he married Dianne Blackburn Young. Marvin graduated from Plevna High School and attended Hutchinson Community College. He was a member of the National Guard, a farmer, he worked for concrete enterprises and was the owner of a silage cutting business, which he thoroughly enjoyed. On March 29, 1997, he was baptized at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Marvin was very spiritual, and admired for his great personality.

Survivors include: his loving wife, Dianne of the home; daughter, Teresa Zimmerman of Plevna; sons, Tracy Wilt of Abbyville, and Tony Wilt of Westville, Ind.; stepson, David Young of Hutchinson; brother, Cletus; uncle and aunt, Warren and Charlene Wilt of Abbyville; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Glendon; son-in-law, Brad Zimmerman; and aunt and uncles.

Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2015, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 612 S. Maple, South Hutchinson, with burial to follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials may be sent to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
