Mary Elizabeth Biddick Wolfenberger, 82, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., died peacefully on Nov. 12, 2015, at her son's home in Broken Arrow, Okla. She was born Sept. 27, 1933, in Ardmore, Okla., the daughter of Lloyd and Beatrice (Kobdish) Biddick.
Mary was a graduate of Oklahoma University, where she met her husband Joseph Halsey Wolfenberger, and was a resident of Hot Springs Village since 1997. Being the wife of a career soldier led Mary to have many homes. Mary's passion in life was her six children, who will miss her dearly. She was the consummate mother and cornerstone of the family. She raised her children with much love and guidance. A devout Sooner fan to the end, Mary enjoyed watching sports and playing Mahjong. She touched many lives and will be remembered for her love, faith and hope.
She is survived by: her husband, Joe; four sons, Kurt (Terri) of Newton, Erick of Houston, Texas, Karl (Heidi) of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Paul of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two daughters, Brenda (Greg) Peterson of Hartford, Conn., and Greta (Michael) Kirk of Waterloo, Ill.; 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015, and the funeral mass will be at 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2015, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Hot Springs Village, Ark., with Father Bill Elser officiating. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015, at the Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with Father Ned Blick officiating.
