Mary Ellen Bishop, 83, died April 1, 2021.  She was born December 27, 1937, in Hutchinson, to Julius Henry and Gladys Gertrude (Schmidt) Mueller.

Mary Ellen graduated from high school in 1957.  She and her former husband, Fred, owned Bishop Interiors.  Mary Ellen enjoyed the outdoors: nature, birds, and flowers. She was a devoted member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, serving as the sacristan.

Mary Ellen and her husband, Leslie Fred Bishop, shared over 60 years of marriage, before his death May 3, 2019.

She is survived by:  daughter, Shawn Cox  (Jerry); grandchildren, Brandon Cox (Rachel), Nicholas Cox (Amanda), and Dustin Cox (Alexis); great-grandchildren, Landon, Nicholas, Lorelai, Taylor, Breanna, Tavia Grace, Zoey, Jacoby, Finnegan, Elspeth, and Olivia; and siblings, Janie Riggs, Barbara Warriner, Kenny Mueller, and Jerry Mueller.

She was preceded in death by:  her parents; sisters, Vivian Weigel, Jeanie Jones, and Dickie Fitzgerald; and brothers, Duane, Thomas, and Harold Mueller.

Cremation has taken place.  Parish Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2021.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2021, both at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 211 E. 5 ^th , Hutchinson, with Father Michael J. Maybrier officiating. Inurnment will be in the Fort Leavenworth Cemetery, Leavenworth.  Friends may sign her book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
