Mary Etta Caywood, 95, died June 5, 2015, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born Dec. 14, 1919, in rural Selden, to Harley Mirl and Nannie Sue (Vaughn) Schrock. She was a 1938 graduate of Selden High School, a 1942 graduate of Wichita School of Nursing and was a Registered Nurse for Wichita Hospital during World War II. She was a member of Park Place Christian Church, Social Order of Beauceant of Hutchinson Assembly #17, Silver Leaf Chapter #464 Order of Eastern Star and Job's Daughters.

On May 15, 1947, she married M.L. "Jack" Caywood in Wichita. He died July 5, 1995.

Survivors include: daughter, Dr. Marilyn Graham and husband William of Hutchinson; sister, Jennie Sue Smith of Hoxie; brother, Loren Schrock of Oberlin; three grandsons, Ryan, Brian and Jason; and four great-grandchildren, Kyle, Luke, Jake and Noelle. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Mirl and Eldon Schrock; and sisters, Lorraine Merriweather and Edith Gilliland.

Funeral service will be 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Amy Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Selden Cemetery, Selden, at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, with the family to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
