Mary E. Colvard, 78, died Oct. 30, 2011, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

She was born Oct. 28, 1933, in Hutchinson, to Patrick J. and Mary C. Smith Frank.

On Dec. 22, 1962, she married Vernen Colvard in Hutchinson. He survives.

Other survivors include: daughters, Catherine Jackson, Berthoud, Colo., Joyce Thompson and husband Jeff, Wichita; a son, Richard Colvard and companion Lorilea Myers, Hutchinson; grandchildren, Sabrina Sommers and husband Brian, Berthoud, Colo., Jennifer "Pud" Anderson and husband Jordan, Lansing, Wendy Stewart and husband Brad, Nixa, Mo.; and six great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Patrick and Jack Frank; sons, Richard Lee Fasking and Leonal James Colvard.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Elliott Chapel, with Chaplain Bob Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park. Friends may call 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday with family to receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Reno County for a tree to be planted at the Hospice House in her memory, in care of the mortuary.
