Mary Lee Current's Obituary
Mary Lee Current, 86, died Jan. 2, 2013, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 30, 1926, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Willard and Elsie (Cooper) Lowrey.
Mary was a homemaker and provided childcare in her home. She was a member of the former Westbrook Baptist Church.
On Dec. 24, 1945, she married Leslie E. Current in Hutchinson. He died Nov. 23, 1995.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mary Day and husband William "Bud" of Hutchinson, Patty Swanner of Waukomis, Okla.; sister, Linda Anderson and husband Gary of Hutchinson; brother, Jack Lowrey and wife Sue of Hoyt, Kan.; sister-in-law, Nona Lowrey; brother-in-law, Ray Current, both of Hutchinson; four grandsons, Mike Dame and wife Kathy of Frisco, Texas, Dustin Dame and wife Nicki of Hutchinson, Andy Swanner and wife Amy, Tracy Swanner and wife Penny, all of Enid, Okla.; eight great-grandchildren, Ryan, Dani, and Brandon Dame, LeeAnn, Sarah, Jessie, Gunner and Garret Swanner; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; twin brother, Weston Lowrey; brother, Jerry Lowrey; two sisters, Etta Hubbard and Jean Walker.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Eldon Smith presiding. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Village, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
