Mary Elizabeth Miller's Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Miller, 86, died Jan. 12, 2015, at Rice County District I Hospital. She was born June 2, 1928, in Kalona, Iowa, to Ananias and Ella Mae (Shetler) Beachy.
Mary was a homemaker and a member of Center Amish Mennonite Church. On Aug. 12, 1950, she married David L. Miller. He survives.
Other survivors include: 12 children, Linda Rose Miller, Miriam Iwashige (Hiromi), Myron Miller (Rhoda), Anthony Miller, all of Partridge, Carol Hodgson (Roberto) of Shawnee, Caleb Miller (Kara) of Mechanicsburg, Pa., J. Lowell Miller (Judy), Lois Mast (Marvin), both of Nickerson, Dorcas Byler (Bill) of Brevard, NC, Clara Schrock (Matthew) of Columbus, Ohio, Ronald Miller (Brenda) of Oswego, Marcus Miller of Hutchinson; brothers, Joseph Beachy (Mary) of Kalona, Iowa, Jesse Beachy (Ruth) of Gladys, Va.; sisters, Fannie Jane Miller (widow of Eli C.) of Sarasota, Fla., Esther Zook (widow of Henry) of Kalona, Iowa; 31 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ray, John, Glen, Earl, Jonas Beachy; and infant grandson, Friedrich Mast.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at Center Amish Mennonite Church, 7611 West Morgan Ave, with Pastor David Yoder officiating. Burial will follow in West Center Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2015, at the church.
Memorials may be made to Interfaith Housing Services, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
