Mary M. Eshelman, 95, died May 20, 2007, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born on Feb. 25, 1912, in Portland, the daughter of John Andrew and Grace Zora Sheperd Zaring. She was a long time Harvey County resident moving to Hutchinson in 1984. She was a graduate of Sedgwick High School in 1929. She was a homemaker and she and her husband farmed in Harvey County for many years.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hutchinson, and formerly of Sedgwick United Methodist Church, a former Harvey County 4H Leader, member of the Community Club, EHU, a Sunday school teacher and a member of the United Methodist Women.
On Feb. 21, 1934, she married Harry E. Eshelman, in Sedgwick. He died May 29, 2005.
Survivors include: a son, Joe, Stafford; two daughters, Connie Davison, Hutchinson and Norma Whitney, Golden, Colo.; a sister, Vonda Herder, Yates Center; nine grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: a brother, Veryl Zaring; and a sister Zerda Paff.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sedgwick United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Conard and Pastor Paul Stephens presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick.
