Mary Lois Fletchall, 98, died peacefully March 27, 2023, at Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson.  She was born May 2, 1924, in Jackson County, Kansas, to Arthur and Effie (Kroth) Venneberg.

Mary graduated from Havensville High School, Havensville, KS, and attended Strickler Business College in Topeka.  She worked three years at Southwestern Bell Telephone, and after moving to Hutchinson, Mary taught at Hook Playschool for 13 years.  She enjoyed quilting, winning many ribbons at the Kansas State Fair.  Mary was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson, taught Sunday school, was a Stephen Minister, and helped make church banners.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother and looked forward to phone calls and visits from her family.

On May 31, 1946, Mary married Glenn Lloyd Fletchall.  They lived in Sabetha, Kansas for 10 years, before moving to Hutchinson in 1957.  Glenn died June 19, 2005, after they shared 59 years of marriage.

Mary is survived by:  daughter, Janie Peterson of Hutchinson; sons, Mark Fletchall (Lynné) of Wichita, Randy Fletchall (Vickie) of Scottsdale, AZ, Mike Fletchall (Brenda) of Roseville, MN, and Craig Fletchall (Patty) of Great Bend; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren;

Mary was preceded in death by:  her parents; five brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1602 N. Main, Hutchinson, with the Reverend Dr. Kim Biery officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
