Mary Jane Frederick, 85, died Aug. 24, 2014, at Newton Presbyterian Manor, Newton. She was born on Jan. 24, 1929, to William and Irene (Forsyth) Coon in Castleton, Kan.

She was a lifetime resident of Hutchinson. On March 21, 1946, she married Bill Frederick in Pretty Prairie. He died March 2, 2003. Survivors include: son, Victor Frederick and wife Vicky of Halstead, Bruce A. Frederick and wife Debra of Hutchinson; niece, Nancy Gossman of Hutchinson; brother, Carlton Coon and wife Shirley of Missouri; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and seven sisters.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with Reverend Jim Rhaesa presiding.
