Mary D. Goertzen, 84, died June 26, 2013, at her home in Hutchinson. She was born May 28, 1929, in Preston, to Roy C. and Lillie G. (Hoffman) Trinkle. Mary graduated from Preston High School in 1947 as Salutatorian. She retired from Dillons Grocery Warehouse.

On July 13, 1949, she married Floyd L. Goertzen in Lakin, Kan. He died June 30, 1971. She is survived by: daughters, Vicky S. Park of Hutchinson, Lylia Bascom and husband Bob of Warrenton, Va.; son, Randell Goertzen and wife Jihong of Springfield, Pa.; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by: husband, Floyd Goertzen; son, Daniel Goertzen; parents, Roy and Lillie Trinkle; sisters, Geraldine, Claudine; brothers, Winfred, Alvin, Merle.

Cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Reno County or The Underground Salt Museum, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
