PRETTY PRAIRIE - Mary Alice Graber, 77, died Feb. 6, 2007, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
She was born Aug. 21, 1929, in Pretty Prairie, the daughter of W. H. "Billy" and Mary Alice "Mollie" Collingwood Seyb. In 1947, she graduated from Pretty Prairie High School, then attended Southwestern College, and graduated from Wesley School of Nursing in 1952. A lifetime resident of Pretty Prairie, she was a registered nurse, a homemaker and partner with her husband on their dairy and grain farm.
She belonged to First Mennonite Church of Pretty Prairie where she was active in several church committees, including the Sewing Circle, Education Committee, and the Mennonite Central Committee Relief Sale. She was also a member of the Pretty Prairie Study Club and Hospice of Reno County volunteer.
On Sept. 14, 1952, she married Clair Graber in Pretty Prairie. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Tim Graber and wife, Deb, Wichita; two daughters, Chris Fall and husband, Jim, Concordia, and Tammy Windscheffel and husband, John, Smith Center; nine grandchildren, Aaron Fall and wife, Sarah, Emily and Tessa Fall, Jake, Jill and Joe Windscheffel, Lauren, Jon and Matthew Graber; and two great-grandchildren, Asher and Asa Fall.
She was preceded in death by a son, Stuart; and five brothers.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie, with Pastor Lester Zook presiding. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Lonestar Cemetery, Pretty Prairie.
