INMAN - Mary A. Kesperis, 83, of Inman, formerly of Oakhurst, N.J., died Jan. 8, 2009, at her daughter's home in rural Inman.
She was born June 20, 1925, in Bethlehem, Pa., the daughter of Henry E. and Mary Schoenen Loux.
She was a 1943 graduate of Liberty High School, Linden Street in Bethlehem (Pa.). A resident of Inman for several years, moving from New Jersey, she was a retired secretary for Ocean Township Board of Education in Oakhurst, N.J.
She attended Park Place Christian Church, Hutchinson, and a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Bethlehem, Pa. She was also a member of New Jersey Educators Association, First United Methodist Church Oakhurst, Oakhurst, New Jersey and she was a member of the Choir.
In 1955, she married James S. Kesperis in New Jersey. He died March 11, 1998.
Survivors include: son, Robert L. and wife, Sally, Eatontown, N.J.; daughter, Stephanie Kesperis-Guthrie and husband, Keith, Inman; and grandson, Christopher Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert and Theodore Loux.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Dr. Kim Biery presiding.
An additional service will be held at a later date in Bethlehem, Pa. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Allentown, Pa.
