Obituary

Mary E. Logan, 84, died Sept. 23, 2008, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.

She was born Oct. 24, 1923, in Cokeville, Pa., the daughter of Ward and Grace Davis.

She graduated from Neodesha High School in 1941 and from Grace Hospital School of Nursing in 1944. A resident of Hutchinson, she was a registered nurse at Cessna Plant in Hutchinson and later she was a homemaker.

She belonged to First United Methodist Church, Hutchinson.

On Jan. 1, 1946, she married Leslie Logan in Hutchinson. He died April 6, 1991.

Survivors include: son, Scott and wife, Tammy, Henderson, Nev.; daughter, Joan Morales and husband, Jay, Henderson, Nev.; brother, Ed Davis, Neodesha; five grandchildren, Brent Piatt and wife, Linda, Brooke Carreon and husband, Ed, Julie Roanoke and husband, John, Leslie Finnegan and Ryan Logan; eight great-grandchildren, Ashley Williams, Alex Samra, Taylor Roanoke, Tyler Roanoke, Brendan Roanoke, Nicholas Roanoke, Kaitlin Finnegan and Hannah Finnegan; and a great-great-grandson, Nathan Hoskins; and longtime companion and special friend, Robert L. Breidenstein, Hutchinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Helen Johnson.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with Pastor Jeff Slater presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

Memorials may be sent to the Terry C. Johnson Center for Basic Cancer Research at Kansas State University or the American Heart Association, in care of the mortuary.
