Mary M. Arnett, 87, of Hutchinson, died peacefully on June 23, 2026, at Hospice House of Reno County. She was born April 5, 1939, in Hutchinson, to Floyd and Nola (McDaniel) Trotter.

Mary graduated Hutchinson High School. She was devoted to her faith and attended Hutchinson Wesleyan Church for most of her life.

On July 31, 1964, she married Barry “Arnery” Arnett, in Hutchinson. They shared 43 beautiful years together before his death on September 23, 2007.

Mary enjoyed needle point and crochet. She spent countless hours embroidering meticulously crafted works of thread art. Mary had a giving heart and enjoyed helping those around her. She was strong and was resilient while facing life’s challenges. Mary loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved them deeply.

Mary is survived by: son, Robert and wife Jocelyn Arnett of Enid, OK; grandchildren, Corey and wife Michelle Sherman of Hutchinson, Ella Arnett of Enid, OK, Tommy Lamunyon of Prague, OK, Brandi and husband Matt Suchy of Omlitz, KS; sisters, Patricia Teel and Anita Gordee both of Great Bend, KS; son-in-law, Michael Heath of Hutchinson, and great-grandchildren, Miana, Ryder, Cody, Caiden, and Dante.

She was preceded in death by her: parents; beloved husband; adored daughters, Mary Ann Arnett and Amy N. Heath.

Friends may sign her book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Visitation will be July 13, 2026, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. July 14, 2026, with Pastor Nick Huck officiating. Visitation and Funeral services will occur at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, 1219 N. Main St. Hutchinson. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
