Mary Headings Nisly, 86, died Dec. 5, 2005, at Mennonite Manor, South Hutchinson.
She was born Sept. 23, 1919, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Valentine and Mary Ann Helmuth Headings. A lifetime Hutchinson area resident, she was a homemaker and farmer's wife.
She belonged to Center A.M. Church.
On Nov. 14, 1946, she married Fred Nisly in Hutchinson. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Maynard Nisly and wife, Irene, Berne, Ind., Mark W. Nisly and wife, Lynda, Hutchinson; five daughters, Mary Jane Miller and husband, Orville, Miriam Miller and husband, James, Martha Miller and husband, Jon, all of Hutchinson, Esther Christner and husband, John, Oak Hill, Ruth Yoder and husband, Bill, Sarasota, Fla.; a sister, Barbara Headings, South Hutchinson; and 26 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Kyle and Jason Miller; five brothers, Levi, Noah, Raymond, Valentine Jr. and John Headings; and two sisters, Sarah Headings and Leona Kuepfer.
Funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Center A.M. Church, 7611 West Morgan Ave., Hutchinson, with David Yoder presiding. Visitation will be from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in West Center Cemetery.
