Mary Lou Noyes, 84, died Aug. 20, 2016, at Hospice House in Hutchinson. She was born Feb. 17, 1932, in Hutchinson, to William and Mary (Roberts) Daugherty Jr.
Mary Lou graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1950 and then attended Hutchinson Community College and the University of Kansas.
On Aug. 22, 1953, she married Ralph "Bud" W. Noyes Jr. in Hutchinson. He died April 18, 2011. Mary Lou was a homemaker and member of Faith United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority and Hutchinson Sweet Adelines for over 30 years.
Mary Lou is survived by: sons, Guy of Hutchinson, Marc and wife Laura of Andover, Todd and wife Jackye of Lee's Summit, Mo.; daughter, Melyn Barnett and husband Richard of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Shannon, Bronwyn, Bryce, Amber, Heather, Lyndsey, Ashley, Andrew, Kole, Reghan, Addison and Hailey; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Sandra Sweet; numerous nieces and nephews; and her two "fur-babies." She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Ralph "Bud" Noyes Jr.; son, Ladd K. Noyes; an infant son; and numerous beloved pets.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Dr. Kim Biery officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, with the family to receive friends one hour before service time Thursday.
