Mary C. Roberson, 91, died May 24, 2014, at Mennonite Friendship Communities, South Hutchinson. She was born Feb. 1, 1923, in Sterling, the daughter of William Thomas and Amanda (Kirkbride) Berry.
Mary was a former member of the First Assembly of God and a current member of First Church of the Nazarene.
On Oct. 23, 1943, she married Thomas F. "Tommy" Roberson in Hutchinson. He died Aug. 31, 2013.
Survivors include: three sons, Wayne Roberson of Hutchinson, William "Bill" Roberson of St. George, and Allen Roberson of Hutchinson; two grandchildren, Michelle Turley and husband Joseph of Columbia, S. C., and Dale L. Roberson of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and one great-grandson, Joseph Turley, Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and 10 brothers and sisters, Samantha Cook Cline, Sherman Cook, George Berry, James "Jim" Berry, Robert Berry, Annabelle "Anne" Berry, Virginia Boshart, Mabel Berry, Harold Berry and Charles Berry.
Funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastors Bones Nay and Chris Gilmore presiding. Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
