Obituary

NICKERSON - Mary Rohling, 96, died July 28, 2011, at Golden Plains Health Care Center, Hutchinson.

She was born July 24, 1915, in Park, Kan., to John and Frances Lang Haffner.

Mary was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church.

On October 24, 1939, she married Leo M. Rohling in Park. He died July 7, 1994.

Survivors include: children, Doris Nilles and husband Jerome of Andale, Robert Rohling and companion Sandy of Wichita, Leon Rohling and wife Betty of Nickerson, Irene Schlickau and husband Bill of Hutchinson, Rita Carlson and husband Eric of Steamboat Springs, Colo., Rosemary Latham and husband Jim of Buhler, Dennis Rohling of Nickerson, and Mark Rohling and wife Kristi of Nickerson; sisters, Elizabeth Miller of Hays and Annie Albers of Selden, Kan.; 27 grandchildren; and 42 great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Betty Lou; son, Gary Rohling; great-grandson, Logan Neufeld; six brothers; and three sisters.

Parish rosary will be at 10 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2011, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, with funeral mass to follow at 10:30 a.m., with Father Nicholas Voelker presiding. Burial will be in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Friends may call 5-9 today and 9-9 Sunday.

Memorials may be made to St. Teresa's, Alzheimer's Association, or Golden Plains Health Care Center, in care of the mortuary.
