Mary Helen Shirk Partington's Obituary
Mary Helen Shirk Partington, a longtime resident of Wesley Towers, died peacefully in her sleep on June 14, 2014. Mary was born in Geneseo, Kan., on Jan. 24, 1925, and graduated from Geneseo High School.
She spent most of her life in Sterling, Kan., where she and her husband Lyle operated the Sterling Bakery. She was an avid pianist and organist, playing frequently for events related to the Methodist Church and Wesley Towers.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lyle Partington and daughter Linda Partington Danzis. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Beth Partington of Sheldon, SC.
A brief graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at the Sterling Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Trinity Methodist Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
