Mary Helen Stanton, formerly of Marshalltown, Iowa, died December 23, 2019, at Sterling Village.  She was born January 9, 1935, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Donald Sherman and Velma (Stark) Scovill.

Mary Helen married her school sweetheart, Jerry Stanton on October 27, 1951, in Marshalltown, Iowa.  They enjoyed 68 years of marriage.

Mary Helen is survived by:  husband, Jerry of Hutchinson; son, Tom Stanton and wife Marlene of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Helen Wilkey of Hutchinson; brother, Robert Scovill; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren (with two more great-great-grandchildren on the way).

She was preceded in death by:  her parents; son, Terry Stanton; son-in-law, Norman O'Neill; sister, Margaret; and brothers, Don and Jim.

Cremation has taken place, and per her wishes, there will be no service.  Memorials may be made to Sterling Village (formerly Sterling Presbyterian Manor), in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS  67501.
