Mary L. Walden, 72, passed away February 21, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born April 5, 1949, in Phoenix, AZ, to Rufus and Ruth (Miller) Pettay.

Mary loved to sew, crochet, and spend time with her family. She was loved by all who knew her and was precious to her family.

On November 1, 1971, Mary married Donald Ray Walden. He died April 18, 2009.

She is survived by: her daughters, Ramona Wiggins (Dan), Liza Walden; grandchildren, Jonathan Walden (Casey Slaughter), Shelby Walden, Austin Souidaray; great-grandchildren, Aubriela, Brylee, and Kai Walden; brothers, Jack Pettay (Vi), Carol Pettay, and Everett Pettay.

Mary was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Don; sisters, Hilda and Elgie Pettay; and brothers, Carl, James Donald, and Vern Pettay.

Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 25, 2022, at Eastside Cemetery, 500 S. Severance St., Hutchinson. Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
