MaryAnn Taylor, 70, of South Hutchinson, died March 24, 2018, at her home. She was born February 29, 1948, in Hays, to Marvin Richard and Dora Catherina (Keetler) Schwein.

MaryAnn graduated from Nickerson High School in 1966 and Sidney's Hairdressing College in 1968. She was a cosmetologist for almost 50 years. MaryAnn was past-president of the Kansas Cosmetology Association and was a Kansas Styles Director. She was also involved with V.F.W. Bob Campbell Post #1361 Ladies Auxillary, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Reno County, and Reno County CASA. MaryAnn was a member of Zion Lutheran Church for over 40 years.

On May 23, 2014, she married Richard 'Bruce' Taylor in Miami, Oklahoma. MaryAnn is survived by: husband, Bruce; daughter, Cathy Walker; granddaughters, Lindsey Lane, Logan Sutton, Shay Slonaker, Rylee Ulrey, Sydnee Ulrey; great-grandsons, Neo Sutton, Liam Powers, Elias Denson, Essiah Denson; brother, Marvin R. Schwein Jr.; sisters, Vicky Manche (Tom), Sharoll Bickel (Mike), Sharon Toews (John); stepson, Amos H. Swepston Jr.; nieces, Tamara, Tiffany, Tabitha, Kim, Sonya; nephews, Tom Jr., Troy, Brian, Zac, Cortney, Shane, Jeffrey, Chad, Dustin, Austin; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by: her father, Marvin Schwein; her mother, Dora McKeown; brothers, Terry Schwein, Jerry Schwein, and daughter, Emma Janel Lane.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Zion Lutheran Church, 1017 N. Washington, Hutchinson, with the Reverend Angela DeVore and Harley Phillips officiating. Private family inurnment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
