Obituary

Maryellen Westfall, 85, died Feb. 22, 2007, at the Jefferson County Memorial Hospital Geriatric Center, Winchester.

She was born Nov. 21, 1921, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Jesse Earnest and Lottie Isabelle Murphy Frederick. She graduated from Salt City Business College. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, moving to Winchester in 2002, she was a retired painter and wallpaper hanger.

She was of the Mennonite faith.

On Nov. 1, 1937, she married James Mason Westfall in Kellyville, Okla. He died Aug. 10, 1964.

Survivors include: two daughters, Sharon Light, Easton, and Cynthia Wilson, Riverside, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four sons, Wesley,Ralph, Jimmey and Seth Westfall, a daughter, Jeannie Westfall, three brothers, Jack, Bill, and Jesse Frederick Jr., two sisters, Lucille Timms and Helen Lambert; and four infant brothers and sisters.

Graveside service will be at noon Monday in Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson, with Pastor Robert L. Albin presiding. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
