Maurice D. Guy, 76, died November 15, 2017, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born February 12, 1941, in Columbus, to Harry E. "Gene" and Fern (Sauder) Guy. Maurice was a farmhand in the southwest part of Kansas. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Rolla. Maurice enjoyed arrowhead hunting.

On December 14, 2001, he married Lynetta W. "Lynne" Barton. She died January 28, 2014.

Maurice is survived by: daughters, Janet Leeper and husband Derrin of Garden City, Katie Guy of Oklahoma City, Ok; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and half brothers, Johnny Nelson, Marvin Nelson, Harold Nelson.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Don and Larry Guy; and sister, Mary Martens.

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2017, at Fairlawn Burial Park, with Pastor Matt Stafford officiating. Friends may sign his book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N.
