Maurine Ethel Unruh (Koehn), 94, died January 14, 2023, at Good Samaritan Society-Hutchinson Village. She was born July 1, 1928, in Greensburg, KS, to Fred and Nina (Nightingale) Koehn.

Maurine attended Greensburg High School.

In 1946, she married Cecil Unruh, in Greensburg, KS. They shared 74 years of marriage, prior to his death on September 18, 2020.

She worked as a salesperson in various clothing and gift stores. Maurine was a hard worker and a social person and because of it, she became very good at selling things. She worked at Pegues for awhile, in Hutchinson, before  the store closed. She had her usual clients that loved buying from her. Maurine and her husband, Cecil, would spend their summers in Colorado managing gift stores. Because of her sales experience, the gift stores did very well.

Maurine was a longtime member of First Christian Church, Hutchinson.

Maurine is survived by: daughter, Pamela (Donald) Pooler of Bonner Springs; son, Eric (Gayle) Unruh of Casper, WY; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; and 9 siblings.
