Maxine Louise "Mac" Hoyle, 82, of South Hutchinson, died April 26, 2011, at Promise Regional Medical Center ICU, Hutchinson.
She was born May 13, 1928, in Geneseo, Kan., to Bruce Lewis and Fernatta Hattie Yarnell Cronkite.
She was a longtime Nickerson resident. She was a 1946 graduate of Nickerson High School and she attended Hutchinson Community College. She was a retired deputy city clerk and bookkeeper for the City of Nickerson. She was a member of Christ's Bible Church in Nickerson.
She was a volunteer for Open Door Pregnancy Care Center and Meals on Wheels.
She married George William Hoyle on Nov. 6, 1945, in McPherson. He died Nov. 16, 1994.
Survivors include: son, Bruce and wife Sheryl of Nickerson; daughter, Tracey Gabehart of Milford, Neb.; 10 grandchildren, Ryan and wife Kelly, Breanna and husband Brittian, Jasey, Cory, Austin, Kohlton, Trenton, Keely, Jim and wife Kelly, and Larry; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Amy Hoyle.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2011, at Christ's Bible Church, Nickerson, with Pastor Philip Lee officiating. Burial in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Family will received friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
