Melanie Graham Alm, 66, passed away October 20, 2014, at her home in Hutchinson, Kansas, of brain cancer. She was born in Miami, Florida, the daughter of William C. and Joy M. (Turner) Pierce, who preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of Norland Senior High School (1966) in Miami and attended East Tennessee State University. Melanie for many years was a bank trust officer in the Kansas City area and earlier this year retired to Hutchinson with husband Rick Alm. They were married in Kansas City on January 2, 1980. He survives.

Other survivors include: brother, Michael Lee Pierce, of Odessa, MO.; son Dr. Larry Graham and wife Randi Kay, of Wichita; daughter Amy and her husband Dr. Patrick Fluck, of Hutchinson; daughter Sarah and her husband Jared Weber, of Orange City, Iowa; step-daughter Meagen Alm, of Portland, Oregon; and 10 grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place.

Memorial Service 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2014, at Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main St., Hutchinson, KS 67501. Friends may call from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Thursday – Saturday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Hospice of Reno County in care of Elliott Mortuary.
