Melody Kay Stout, 56, of Hutchinson, died Oct. 14, 2010, at her home in Hutchinson. She was born in Hutchinson, the daughter of Leonard Franklin and Mary Anna Taylor King on March 1, 1954.
She was a 1972 graduate of Buhler High School and was a homemaker. She married Michael Lynn Stout on June 14, 1980, in Hutchinson. He survives.

Other survivors include: a brother, James Carithers and his wife Teresa, Hutchinson; a sister, Karen Frank, Hutchinson; a stepdaughter, Jody West and husband Eric, Boulder, Colo.; a nephew, David Frank and his wife Tammy, Hutchinson; a niece, Mandie Frank, Hutchinson; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Roger King, and a stepdaughter, Jean Steinbiesser. Cremation has taken place and services will be at a later date. Elliott Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
